It directs attention toward the future and generates threat scenarios. Some concern solvable problems; others are hypotheses with no available action now.

Anxiety tries to prepare
Problem or hypothesis
Ask what is known, what decision is needed, what depends on you, and when action is possible. Concrete answers yield a step. Endless “what if” loops benefit from a time boundary and a return to the present task.
A plan with a limit
Write one action, time, support, and review condition. Planning organizes available influence but cannot guarantee outcomes. Rewriting without new information may maintain anxious control.
Words from Dmytro Telushko
“A useful plan does not remove uncertainty. It separates available responsibility from the attempt to control the entire future.”
