You can give advice on how to think about the causes of fear. It can and should be done. This is a worthy job. And perhaps much more fruitful than, say, meditation. It's fine, of course, to sit and think that a golden mist is enveloping me and I'm hugging the globe and stuff. There are no fears at this moment. But what about after meditation? Fear still comes from the depths of the soul, if you don't think about its reasons, don't call common sense to help.
It is necessary to think, to reflect. Ask anyone: "Are you afraid of death!" And they will give you the answer: "I don't think about it." Yes, he is afraid to even think about it. Fear of death is an induced fear. Everyone is afraid, and you are. And doctors and psychiatrists even know that when a person begins to die, all suffering leaves him, although death looks terrible from the outside. This should and should be thought about, only then can you get rid of such fear, as well as other types of it.
