The basic level of happiness is genetically embedded in us, it is similar to the tendency to fullness. Someone can eat a lot and not get fat, and someone constantly adheres to diets, as they recover very easily. Numerous studies of twins prove the existence of a basic level of happiness.

Those who are married are happier than those who are single, but only marginally. 40% of happiness is conscious actions or acts of happiness.
The key to happiness is not in changing your genetics, nor in changing your circumstances (ie, becoming richer, more attractive, or finding friendlier colleagues), but in daily, purposeful actions. 40%, which are completely in our power.
